Software makes a process faster. It does not make a bad process good. It just gets you to the wrong answer sooner, and at scale.

There is an uncomfortable truth at the centre of this business: the thing we sell is often not the thing you need.
We build software. We are good at it, and we enjoy it. But a build is a lever, and a lever applied to the wrong rock just moves the wrong rock. So before we quote for anything, we try quite hard to talk ourselves out of it.
This is the whole argument, and it is not complicated.
A process is a sequence of decisions. Software makes that sequence run faster and more consistently. If the decisions are sound, you get more good outcomes per hour. If the decisions are unsound, you get more bad outcomes per hour, delivered reliably, at scale, with an audit trail.
Automating a broken approval chain does not fix the chain. It industrialises it.
When someone asks us to build something, we ask these first, and we ask them in this order, because a "no" high up the list makes everything below it irrelevant:
Most requests do not survive the first three questions intact. Some are dispatched entirely, which is a good day's work even though nobody pays us for it.
We would rather lose a build and be right than win one and watch it fail eighteen months later. The second outcome costs us more. It just costs us later, and in a currency that does not show up on an invoice.
It means our first conversation is a workshop, not a pitch. It means we will occasionally tell you your problem is a meeting, not a migration. And it means that when we do say "yes, build this", you can take that seriously, because we have already spent real effort trying to say no.
That is the only reason our recommendation is worth anything. An agency that says yes to everything is not giving you advice. It is giving you a price list.
Good. Book a Deep Dive Workshop and we will find the cheapest path to the outcome, even when that path isn't us.
